QDiskImager

A simple tool for creating raw disk images (*.dd/*.dsk/*.img) of USB sticks or SD/CF cards, as well as for writing such images back to those devices. A typical use case would be installing/backuping/restoring SD cards for SBCs like the Raspberry Pi.

Images can optionally be compressed with GZIP on the fly, and compressed images can be written directly to stick/card. When creating an image file, non-allocated space after the last partition can optionally be omitted.

Uncompressed disk images (as well as VHD/VHDX and ISO images) can also be mounted and unmounted, using the VHD and ISO mount support provided by Windows. Such mounted images are then accessable e.g. in partition managers, and partitions with FAT32/ExFAT/NTFS filesystem can be browsed with the Windows Explorer. If Paragon ExtFS is installed, also partitions with Linux filesystems like Ext4 are accessable in the Windows Explorer, both for reading and writing. Otherwise a read-only Linux explorer is included that allows to browse mounted Linux partitions and to extract files and folders.

QDiskImager is based on Cygwin, Qt 4.8 and Lingo. Ext2/Ext3/Ext4 read support is based on the ext4tc plugin by Krzysztof Stasiak.
